SCHROEDER CARPENTRY

I am a licensed general contractor in rural SW Minnesota who specializes in kitchen and bath remodels. As the owner and only employee I do the carpentry work myself whenever possible with the help of quality subcontractors when necessary. I take pride in my work and enjoy helping a homeowner from start to finish through a remodel project. I rely on good communication, quality work, and cleanliness throughout the process. Whether you know what you want, or need help deciding I can help you out!

HISTORY

The idea of starting a carpentry business began to take shape when someone told me "You should go on your own!". It sounds silly, but I hadn't really considered it before. I had started working for a general contractor about 9 years before that despite having almost no construction experience. I was involved in nearly every aspect of home building and remodeling but found myself becoming the main cabinet and millwork installer for the company for many of those years. My attention to detail and cautious nature gave me an edge in finish work. I enjoyed my job but hearing someone tell me to start my own business happened at just the right time and gave me the confidence to try something new. In 2015 I was able to get my general contractor's license, purchase a trailer and some tools, and start on my own. I've learned a lot since then and hope that never ends. I keep looking for new ways to improve my business and what I have to offer, while considering how my work affects the environment and the people around me.

SCHROEDER CARPENTRY'S MISSION

I started my business because I wanted to have more free time to help others. I've learned that free time is a little tougher to come by than I thought. Still, my goal in every project is to help people get what they want. Along with providing for my young family, I enjoy helping when I encounter people in need.

My mission is to improve the places we live by providing valuable workmanship and materials.

I am convinced that the skills I have gained are not simply for accomplishing the American dream, but to improve the lives of people around me along the way.
